Vulcan 750 (vn750) intermittent rattle noise from rear cylinder head.
Noise at :06, :20, and :24 seconds. Using a metal bar to my ear, the noise seems to be coming from the head, between the two black circles of the camshafts. Very intermittent, regardless of engine temperature.
UPDATE: Looks like it was, in fact, the ACCT. Even though I had done the Grambo trick, I guess I hadn't turned it enough. I gave it an additional 1/8th turn in and the noise finally went away. I guess I'll keep doing that until it no longer works and then switch to MCCTs.

GM Silverado Sierra grill shutters mod

I wanted to delete the AGS / Active Grill Shutters/ Active Aero Shutters to allow my transmission to run cooler at highway speeds (which is when the shutters close) but removing the whole thing would throw an error code so I just deleted some fins to allow more air in. We'll see how it works!

I almost got hit head-on on northbound Simpson Rd, near Boggy Creek Rd. Luckily, I saw the truck starting to swerve into my lane and I had enough time to get out the way. Of all explanations I heard, I believe the driver was trying to avoid the overhanging oak tree so his haul wouldn't get scratched. Caught it all on my dashcam.

Yes. I installed the Sure Cool thermo bypass a few months back. I did see cooler temps, but not as much as some of the guys on the Silverado forum. But then again I live in FL, so it gets pretty hot down here. It still gets to the operating temps of the 190s but it takes longer to get there. I haven't installed an aftermarket trans cooler yet. That's probably my next step. Also, to change the trans fluid and filter. I just 30k miles so I think it's time. Good explanation on how the solenoid allows the pressure release from the top of the diaphram, which allows water flow to sprinkler heads. How long does the electrical tape fix work? I'd be concerned the tape would eventually break loose and plug up part of the line, but I guess you could flush that out since it would probably only impact one sprinkler head...

@Jose Duran Jr "Why would you deter what the engineers factored into design?" Have you seen all the TB, TSB, class action law suits against GM and their transmissions? Just the 8 speed alone has 60+ TBs over the past few years. GM tried to have one of these class action lawsuits thrown out claiming that the transmission problem are related to a design defect and not a manufacturing defect. Excerpt from an article regarding one class action suit: "GM has argued that these claims should be thrown out, as its express warranty only covers defects that relate to materials and workmanship, and not design defects. The suits claim that all 8L45E and 8L90E transmissions experience these problems, which implies the problems are related to a design defect instead, the automaker said."
